CCJ's as a result of Debt.
By obtaining a County Court Judgment (often referred to as a “CCJ”), a creditor is using just one of the ways by which a creditor can collect a debt.
It is also means that the Courts have been satisfied that the monies claimed by a creditor are legally owed.
Statutory Demands and Bankruptcy may also follow as a consequence of the CCJ.

A CCJ is often accompanied by an Instalment Order. This is where the Court has accepted the creditor’s application that the monies owing should be repaid at a requested monthly rate.
If you do not pay the amount claimed, or you fail to keep to the Instalement Order, the creditor may seek to force a debtor to pay by issuing a Warrant of Execution. In such cases, you will receive a visit from a County Court Bailiff who will seek payment from you by securing the demands of the warrant upon various contents in your home. If you fail to pay the warrant. The Bailiff may remove these contents which he then sell them at auction to raise the money required to satisfy the warrant.
Because a CCJ, effectively, satisfies the Court that they money claimed is in fact owed, a CCJ can be used by the creditor as a stepping stone to further legal action:
